A World of Opportunity
A World of Opportunity
Robust UO Portland academic programs including our Oregon Executive MBA and Sports Product Management will join groundbreaking new ones like the Ballmer Institute for Children's Behavioral Health on the UO Northeast Campus.
The University of Oregon enjoys a long history with the Portland area, including the establishment of the law school there nearly 150 years ago.
The new campus in the Concordia neighborhood will not only enhance learning but better connect our students with those in other growing UO programs in Portland, helping to drive the University of Oregon’s 20-year strategic plan forward.

Our Oregon Executive MBA program is housed in the Library and Learning Center, a beautiful building looking out on the main green space on campus which will be a key event center for the new campus.
Our Sports Product Management (SPM) program will come together in the Innovation Building with the Sports Product Design (SPD) program (housed in the College of Design), and the School of Journalism and Communication allowing our programs to realize new efficiencies and collaborations.
Athletic fields just outside our doors will allow for immediate, onsite testing of SPM student products. Campus also includes student housing, community spaces, and dining and recreation options.
A Model That Works
One feature we are bringing with us from our former location in downtown Portland to the northeast location is the tiered classroom. Based on the Harvard Business School case method classroom, the horseshoe-shaped layout allows for maximum interaction and communication among students and faculty, with the tiered swivel seats facilitating unobscured sightlines to the lectern and whiteboard.
Also coming to the new northeast Portland location is one of our signature program enhancements, the SPM Innovation Lab—the product-making space provides students with hands-on experience in concept ideation and execution using specialized equipment.
And Beyond
In addition, this new exciting location also provides the college with opportunities to expand our connections to the Portland business community and also helps us serve as a hub for partnering with and supporting entrepreneurs and increasing overall access to entrepreneurship and business resources for communities throughout the Portland metro area.
